ive been thinking about getting a fitbit but i'm not sure how accurate at calculating calories it is as it doesnt measure your heart rate. has anybody got one and what do you think of it? or does anybody have a good heart rate monitor they can reccommend that doesnt involve a chest strap?

I love my Fitbit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You will find many many old forums on here saying the same. It is a true motivator. The people here helped me decide to purchase mine, I did alot of reading on different items and this was it. Also as with logging calories and exercise, I know nothing is perfect or exact so I think it all works out in the end. I didnt reseach the heart monitors, so I am not sure about them.0

I finally made the decision after thinking about it for almost a year to get a fitbit. I am still learning and did not know how to track my sleep last night. I am really curious to see how I sleep and the doctor was asking me since I am having chronic daily headaches. I love how the fitbit syncs with MFP. I think you will also like it.0

Fitbit does a good job at estimating exercise calories for most exercise except resistance and cycling.
I don't think there's a good HRM without a chest strap, not for calorie burn estimates.0
