Running and nosebleeds

So I've been a runner for about two years now... And have been getting massive nosebleeds semi regularly for about a year and a half. (as in gushers that make a big mess). I've been going to the doctor and she doesn't seem to be concerned, but it's driving me crazy. I've had nosebleeds every morning for the last week!
Question is this... Could there be a correlation to the running? Perhaps my sinuses irritated by the nose breathing? Could it be a blood pressure thing? (tho mine is on average 108/71)
Has anyone else has this?

I only got them from going somewhere cold to somewhere hot. It's often caused by a weak capillary.
You're going to have to persist with your doctor incase it's something more serious.
There are treatments available. Cauterisation is one.0 -

She did say that it can't be cauterized, cuz she cant see the bleeder. The only thing she did recommend was packing it.0 -
Maybe get a referral to an ENT?0

Run to the surgery and do burpees in the waiting room?
Mine eventually went away without intervention.0 -
A friend of mine has the issue when he runs on hot days and starts to get dehydrated from not drinking enough.0

Lol! I'm not too far off that! I ran to an appointment where they ended up removing a mole from my thigh - 4 stitches... Ran back to work cuz the freezing was still in! Haha. The doc still mentions that!0 -
bump - looking to see if anyone has encountered this?0

Mine happened in judo too, but once again it may well have been due to the heat rolling about in my pyjamas0

Thanks IronSmasher!!
one last bump... note... my nosebleeds don't happen while I'm running.. .they are almost always first thing in the morning, after I roll out of bed. Rarely do I get them after 11am...0 -
Maybe it's the dry air in your house? There is a product to moisturize your nose, called 'AYR' we used to get for our son who used to get really bad, frequent nose bleeds. Just a thought.0
