It's almost 8!
I always eat at 5 and am done by 5:30 and don't eat anything else the rest of the night. ever.
It's 7:40 exactly and I've only had 800 calories today.
I always hear I'll gain weight if I eat after a certain time even though I know that your metabolism doesn't know time.
I gain weight really easily so I'm really worried
I burn 1,200 calories doing nothing since I'm short. I hardly exercised today ( some push ups and a little bit of yoga and walking around and jump rope )

Stop listening to that crap, eat when you want and how you want and make sure you get close to your goal....Stop under eating thats worse for your metabolism.
So in short eat girl eat lol. If your not real hungry get a spoon and curl up with the pb jar on the couch and have a couple spoon fulls....Good fats, high protein and lots of calories and uber tasty0 -
I say only eat if you are hungry. If you are not hungry, you don't have to eat. One day of eating only 800 calories is not going to cause your body to go into starvation mode. Just don't make that number a habit.0

I had some Brussels sprouts ( 3 )
a protein shake and 6 strawberries with 3 tbsp fat free redi whip putting me at 1,010 calories.
I'm really just not a hungry person ever.0 -
AMEN to the timing post!!! (but only if you're hungry)0

When you eat is hardly as important as what you eat. You could eat your whole days calories at midnight right before you went to sleep and it wouldn't matter. Except you would probably be uncomfortable all night.
Peanut butter with apples/celery/crackers/bread and jelly
Avocado mashed with salsa/sour cream with some chips or on toast
Nuts. My favorites are pistachios and cashews
Cheese. Toasted cheese sandwich, cottage cheese with fruit, over a fried egg on toast
All things that are small, healthy meals but packs a healthy calorie punch.

Your body doesn't stop metabolizing after a certain time. That's like saying you shouldn't drink water after 8 because your kidney's can't process it at that time. Can you imagine if your bodily functions worked on a set time schedule??
800 calories in a day is NOT enough. You are, by nature, a large organism in comparison to the majority of organisms like, say, a paramecium and you need to fuel your body.0 -
Usually...if you have to ask then yes..
800? Thats nowhere near enough.
It does not matter what time you eat your calories, only that you get the right amount. There isn't some magic time at night where you have to stop eating or everything will turn into fat.0 -

I ate more.
I honestly have no appetite ever. I've been to the doctor. she said its normal. I am a very petite person and I don't eat a lot. sometimes even less then what I originally posted. Not on purpose though. I'm not overweight or underweight ethier.0 -
Eat to reach your caloric intake goals. Under eating is detrimental to your health.0

Yeah-I read that you're not overweight and you eat 800 calories. That's starvation, fix it. Make different food choices. Higher fat foods--that doesn't mean unhealthy choices either.0 -
Just go eat something; no need for drama.
Have 2 McD cheeseburgers.:flowerforyou:
And just eat to goal every day.
Simple deal.0 -
I have some days where I eat WAY under also, I contribute it to the day. If it's super hot outside I barely eat simply because it's to icky. As long as your not starving yourself on purpose and it's not an every day occurance I don't see a huge red flag but then again I'm no doctor, I just go by what my body tells me.
I've heard eating after 8pm is no good so I have a rule on that personally. (it may not be correct but it works for me)
Sounds like your in maitenence? If thats the case congrats on being there and staying there =D0 -

Also the OP I not being entirely truthful...i quote from another thread about gaining on maintenance calories
"I had a family member say it could be because I'm naturally a higher weight or something?
It's so upsetting ):
I usually have to eat below what I should just so I don't gain
I am a little low on the BMI chart. I guess it wouldn't hurt to gain a little but I really don't want to at all."
So yeah--she says she has no appetite but really it's fear of gaining weight that's stopping her from eating.0 -
I'm just going to come out & say it, put down the damned Vogue magazine and eat something.

If you have a hard time eating then you have to make sure what you eat packs lots of nutrients. Lean meats and fish, fruits and vegetables, whole grains will all provide the nutrients you need in small quantities of food.0 -

Just take a look at the OPs old posts--this clearly has 0 to do with her not being hungry enough to eat.0
