Does 10 min of exercise help?

I am fairly new to exercising and eating right. Sometimes all I have time or energy to do is maybe 10-12 minutes of a cardio at one time. Is that really doing me any good if I only do 10 minutes and then wait a couple of hours and do 10 again?

I think that anything will help. I have heard, actually, that if all that you can do is 10mins than do that. I also heard, that if you split it up (10mins here then 10 mins there etc. ) it still counts as something. ANYTHING IS BETTER THAN NOTHING. BUT doing it one time will be faster and will burn a lot more calories. Furthermore, ifyou can do more.. do that. Just try to increase your time gradually everyday/week and you should be seeing an improvement -guarenteed.
Dont settle for what you THINK you can do. push yourself and your endurance will increase.

    YOU CAN DO IT!

Yes. It helps. Keep it up! Keep doing your 10 minute sessions. Eventually you will build endurance and be able to go for longer. This is a sign you're getting stronger and healthier. I used to workout for 15 minutes and now I'm working out about an hour a day. Every step towards good health is a step in the right direction! Keep up the good work!
  • Thats very encouraging thank you.
  • if you do three 10min intense sessions throughout the day its better than doing one 30min session

Sure, it's definitely better than 10 mins sitting on the couch!
In the longer term it will be good to build up to a bit more time, but that's a great place to start.

It will help by getting you in shape to the point where you can do cardio effectively, so it's not pointless. As long as work at increasing the amount of time you spend at it each workout, you'll be there in no time.
