I've heard that some people can lose only at very small deficits, ie less than 10 %. I haven't had any luck losing weight so far, even following the 40,30,30 ratios and lifting heavy three days a week. I do Hiit after weight training. I look better for sure but no weight loss, and minimal inches lost. My clothes fit better though so that is good. Maybe I need to up the calories to maintenance at my goal weight? It would only be 200 calories less a day than my current TDEE.
Worth a try?

I only have a very small defecit of around 200 cals, I eat at my fat2fit radio goal-weight maintence, when I did my diet break of eating at tdee I just plug in my current weight as my goal weight and it was 200 cal difference.

I like doing it this way, yes it's slow but I don't ever have to worry about re calculating after every 5-10 lbs (I get very stressed at all the different numbers & eating more on different days) this way I eat the same everyday no matter what & as I'm eating at maintenence for my goal-weight when I get there nothing will have to change - It's like my head is there already I'm just waiting for my body to catch up!!

Can't hurt to give it a try, you need to find what works for you : )

for the last 5 days you were eating 2000-2300 kcals. that might be actually too much for you.
    do you know your BMR?

    BMR 1608 I`m 37 and 5'8" 189 lbs

Usually exercise 3 to 5 hours a week.

Am constantly on the move. I`m even stepping back and forth as I type this. I have a stand up desk. Soon to be a treadmill desk. I`m a teacher of kids and have my own kids. I`d consider myself active. I was weighing the same on my reset eating 2800 about cal a day.

Maybe active with a really weird body?

I've never heard of that. It seems it would defy the laws of science.
