Looking for a simple (not going to break the bank) HRM!

I am relatively new to exercise, and I think one of my biggest downfalls with trying to lose weight over calculating how many calories I have actually burned doing a particular exercise. I.e, I tend to estimate high intensity when in fact I managed to complete the whole workout without so much as breaking a sweat or being short of breath... Does anyone recommend an HRM that isn't too expensive and works properly? I have been told the Polar FT1 is on amazon for £34.00 at the moment, anyone have any experience with that? Thanks guys!

I got mine from the Lloyds Pharmacy website for £15 because I wasn't sure if I really needed one. It's got a chest strap and tells me calories burned, and now I can't do without it!0

Polar FT1 doesn't count calories.
Polar FT4 will be the cheapest Polar model that counts calories.0 -
I have the lloyds pharmacy HRM too best £15 I've spent. Easy to set up and comes with a chest strap. I'd be lost without it. The polar FT1 doesn't count calories0

I have the Polar F6 and I love it. If you go cheap you may not get what you need. Save up and get the one that you really want.0
