Should I feel like this after a HIIT workout?

When I finish a HIIT (burpees), nothing is left in the tank. My legs feel like tree trunks, and walking anywhere is a chore. I wander about the house until it's time for bed.
After some SS cardio, I feel like a million bucks! I feel like I could do it all again, but after a HIIT all I want to do is lie on the floor like a slug.
I'm not hurting, I don't feel sick, I just feel WHIPPED. I can't see how anyone can do this more than 2 or 3 times a week.

If you ever feel like going for a marathon after doing hiit you didnt do it right.0

It is normal and will help build endurance. I trained several years ago for a biathalon and for quite a while I felt like that after I began training by riding 30 miles. After a few months my endurance increased tremendously and I felt enviro rated when I finished my ride just like Iike when I ran 2 miles every morning. Keep going!0

Yep, sounds normal. If you feel like you are going to faint, get dizzy, or if you are so sore that the pain makes it hard to sleep or wakes you up, or if you're sore for days after a given workout, you did too much. But feeling wiped out for an hour or so after HIT means you did it right.0
