It's finals, I'm working too much, it's my baby's 2nd birthday and i'm totally stressed. I'm snacking while I study or work on my project and I don't want to work out. It's nasty cold out too, which is not helping at all. What do i do?

Stop snacking, and plan that workout for TONIGHT! You will feel so much better afterward!
  • I'm having a super hard time right now too! Just try your hardest not to snack and do as miss faerie88 said... work out! I know I always feel a LOT better after I do.

faerie has a good point there.

Or try making your snack super healthy, or at least not bad. Try cucumber, celery, things like that which have very very small amounts of calories and high water levels to keep you full.

It if weren't a struggle, we'd all be thin, right? Practice willpower...the more you practice, the stronger it gets. There's always going to be reasons to eat more than we need...but there's lots of big reasons not to. Think about your reasons.
  • Just try to chill out, everyone has stress, snacking is NOT the answer. Be strong!!! Chew gum like they do on Biggest Loser. I've heard it works. Good Luck!!!

    Good point.
Also, if you get the munchies, they make flavored rice cake snacks that taste pretty good. You can also try the Crystal Lite singles in your water if you're looking for something to substitute your cola (pop).

Water, Water and more Water. When you feel like you want something to eat, drink an 8oz glass of water and stay away from the kitchen. Most of the time when you feel hungry it is because you are dehydrated. Drink at least 8 8oz glasses a day. I drink at least 10 8oz a day.
The gum thing is a great idea as well. Make sure you do eat your 5 mini-meals and drink water and chew gum in between your meals.
I also agree with Faerie88, plan a workout for tonite. It does not have to be for an hour, even if you can only do 10 mins, make it an intense 10 mins. I promise you will feel better when you are done.
You can do this and we are all here to help you.
