What's the most disgusting looking food you've ever had?

One time, I made a taco filling from this super healthy cookbook. Took it to school for snack.

I almost didn't eat it, because it literally looked like I was slapping a wet turd onto the pita wrap I had... In the middle of a very crowded library.

The most disgusting looking food to me is caramelized onions. They look like intestines to me. Then again, I HATE onions.

As for things I like, rare steak is pretty gross looking but oh-so-delicious.

Thick curried green lentil soup looks like baby poop, but it tastes good.

I also came here to say "saag paneer". Saag paneer is one of the grossest-looking things I've ever seen, but when I finally tried it, I was in love.

Indian food often looks like diarrhea. Still it's one of my favorite cuisines.

Last night's dinner was pretty awful-looking - leftover barbecue chicken mixed up with some leftover baked beans and extra hot sauce.

    It was delicious, though!

Hamburger looks kind of gross to me. Feta cheese...basically any kind of crumbly cheese like that looks gross. I can't think of anything horrible though. If it looks bad I won't eat it.

My mum used to make this soup that my sister termed 'Penal Colony Soup' (she'd hum the theme to Papillon when it was served). It was thick and grey in colour. God knows what was in it. But it was absolutely delicious.

Grub. No, really, it's called grub. As far as I can tell it is ground beef, corn kernels and some kind of sweet brown sauce. It looks like vomit, and tastes amazing.

    Tapioca pudding is NASTY looking.

    Tofu can be nasty too.

    Cottage cheese is gross.

Yogurt left in the fridge and water separates is NASTY NASTY. Blech.
