I am having weight loss surgery July 9th (LapBand) and I plan on using myfitnesspal to keep track of my daily intake for the remaining challenge of losing weight. I have tried all kinds of diets in the past and on the fence with some medical issues, so this was the best thing for me. I look at the band as a tool, not a solution!!!! I will still have to watch what I eat, work out, and stay healthy with vitamins. I can't wait to get started and meet new people here for support! Please friend me so we can work on this challenge together and share helpful ideas!

I am 15 months post op lapband and have been using myfitnesspal to track. For me it's been a great way for me to keep myself in check. Hope your surgery when well and that you are recovering well. A few times - invest is measuring cups, a food scale, small containers, a good water bottle, the C25K program(best things I have every done), a good pair on tennis shoes, and a great support system. So far I have 119 pounds down and I have 65 to go until I get to my goal of 170. It's a lot of work but with your new tool, a positive mental outlook, and support you will be at goal before you know it!!

I had weight loss surgery 5 months ago I did not have the lapband I had the sleeve. I have found myfitnesspal to be a wondeful tool to track what I eat and to log me excercise it keeps me on track I have lost 65lbs so far and have 25 more to go. Good luck on your surgery and wish you success.
