I've been on MFP for about 14 months and I have about 20lbs to go, to get to a normal BMI, I've done C25K and now run 3 times a week or more.
Here's my problem, I'm wanting to increase my cardio build my all over strength as I struggle with press ups (can only do 6) and I want to run longer too. but I don't want go to a gym or buy any stuff, for now, I've got Absolute Abs APP on my phone which I love and I do 2 sets at once not 1 a day which is what they recommend.
I've looked at Insanity, but I think thants a bit beyond my at the moment, day 2 seem to have loads of press ups in it,
Anybody got any ideas how to build up my cardio and stop/reduce saggy skin.
Thanks in advance,

Have you looked at Beachbody Turbojam or Turbofire0

Do you have access to a library/Netflix? Check out some of their DVDs. My local library had 30DS and I had some other DVDs delivered from Netflix and I used those to get into a new routine. Don't worry if you can't do some of the exercises. Just keep trying and work on your form.0

I am doing the Biggest Loser Bootcamp DVD with my sister and its awesome. A full body work out that incorporates weights to allow you to customize your work out. Its a 6 week program dvd.
I get a great burn using it.
How was C25K? I have the app but I haven't had the courage to use it yet.
Good luck!0 -

^ its perfect- repeat it as many times as you can in your livingroom. very simple as far as WHAT youre doing - but its ST that doubles as cardio and believe me.... youll be sore like nobody's business the next day.
I swear on my life.0 -
PS - this plus heavy lifting helped me shave several minutes off my interval runs.0

I liked the Chalean Extreme series from BeachBody (Chalene Johnson). It's got a LOT of strength training and some pretty intense cardio. Actually, I started that program before I started my running. I repeated it at the beginning of this year and really do like the results.
TurboJam is funky and fun. TurboFire is pretty high impact. I have both and I do like TurboFire. . . but you do need some serious coordination and it takes a couple times through each workout to get the hang of her moves and what she calls them/how she cues them.
Hope you find something that works for you! You'll knock out those last 20 for sure!!

"stop/reduce saggy skin."
If you lose a significant amount of fat, you will have loose skin left over for a bit of time (unless you build a lot of muscle mass to replace the lost fat). The faster you lose, the more noticeable. You regenerate skin cells daily so eventually it will catchup to your new size.
In extreme weight loss (i.e. Biggest Loser), plastic surgery is necessary to remove excess skin (usually reputable surgeons ask patients to wait a year after maintaining the weight loss).
That being said, slow & steady weight loss with muscle building works to keep skin close to body size, and burns more calories (muscle is metabolically active). So doing both cardio and strength training is beneficial.

If you want to increase cardio AND build strength, you may need to increase your calories a bit, depending on your current calorie intake.
That said, if you want to build strength without buying anything, you will have to do some body weight exercises. Push-ups, squats, wall-sits, etc. are all decent ones. There are many Pilates exercises you can do to strengthen your core-- e.g., 100s, leg circles, leg raises, and so on. I've known some people that enjoyed workouts from "Convict Conditioning." http://www.youtube.com/user/ConvictConditioning
You will be somewhat limited on your goal to increase strength if you can't/won't lose any weights, though.0 -

The library is an EXCELLENT idea! I forget about the library since all the technology is so fingertip accessible. Going to take my daughter Saturday to find her an art book and may just look to see about checking out a DVD for myself. Great suggestion!!!!0
