Needs a swift little kick in the bum!

I was doing good, went from 275 down to 230 and was loving how I was feeling. Then life happened. Something along the lines of I quit my job, sold our house, we moved cities, the husband started his dream career, and here I sit unemployed, lonely, and bored snacking the day away with little motivation to get my butt moving. Back up to 240lbs. Excuses? mmhmm I think so. This would be the PERFECT opportunity to take this time while unemployed to kick things into high gear.
I looked through some pictures to remind myself of where I DONT want to go back to. And I finally found my measuring tape to take my measurements again since I started this journey...I knew I had lost inches because old clothes were fitting again, and my legs have been looking kinda nice Sure enough....I've lost a total of 22.25inches.
Now....PLEASE....someone give me a swift kick in the bum and tell me to get going. I NEED some encouragement, a little tough love even!!

I'm sort of in the same situation. About 2 1/2 years ago my husband was offered a good job working oversea in Saudi Arabia so I quit my full-time career job, packed up the house & the kids and we moved overseas. We live on a company compound that sits right on the Persian Gulf so beautiful beach scenery, fitness trails and a free fully equipped gym all the necessary things for me to finally get into shape. No stressful, full-time job to go to so I finally decided that now is the time! I was glad I came across MFP to be my support/cheering group as I have no family or close friend support.
Definitely take advantage of the extra free time...I do by getting in usually 2 workouts in, searching MFP recipe section for healthier option and then cooking at home for the family (we used to eat out a lot).
So I'm here to give you a push, cheer you on or even nag at you if you need it.
Feel free to send me a friend request.
We can do this!!

I actually found being unemployed to be the most beautiful time in my weight loss journey. I used to spend 1-2 hours at the gym 4-5 times a week because I COULD! I was able to do my cardio and my weights and not feel rushed. I was able to spend time relaxing in the steam room or sauna or hot tub...
I lost a significant amount of weight during my unemployment and I was never happier. I work in the helping field and I was finally able to stop and help myself
Take advantage of your free time. You have time now to really focus on what's important without being bogged down by "life".0
