What is it about stevia that makes it healthier than any other artificial sweetener? I know its derived from a plant but so what. Why do people use it over aspertame or splenda or whatever? Is it really that "healthy"?

I do not like the taste of asparteme. Splenda is okay, stevia ( prefer Truvia taste the best) seems to taste more like sugar to me.
I tend to eat/drink only if I like the taste of things. I can not stand the taste of diet pop.
There have been studies (per an article I read one time) that asparteme is not good for you and can make you feel hungrier.
I don't know if there is any difference between Splenda and Truvia health wise. From different posts I have read, it may be split in the middle the preference of the 2.0
