Where i live it's rainy 9 months out of the year and so I'm not adapted to the heat. It's so hot and it's making it difficult for me to workout, because we don't have an AC. The last thing I wanna do on a 90 degree day is sweat and get hot. What should I do? I do t have a gym membership because I can't afford it. I have to work out! Help!

My workout preference is cycling, so I get up really early, and leave my house by 6a to get a ride in before it gets to hot. During the winter I hit the gym. I belong to planet fitness, it is only 10.00 a month, and I also have a few dvd type workouts. IF you really want to work out you will, even being too hot is an excuse in my book! You have to decide if your just making excuses or not, do you really really want to work out, then you will find a way
  • yeah i agree with the above poster, try and get your workout in early in the morning or late at night when its at its coolest! :)

OP do you have a pool near where you are? Swimming will not make you sweat but is one of the best exercises going, it doesn't matter how hot the weather is either if you do that activity.

If you live near a large mall or a school campus that is largely indoors, you can walk inside for free. I live near the galleria mall in Houston, and it's open early on Saturdays and I walk it for 45 minutes. Also, in downtown houston they have a tunnel system so I walk it on my breaks during the work day.

The heat does me in, but in general, if you can get a walk or run in as the sun rises it is generally cool enough outside.

Whatever you do, be sure to drink plenty of water.

It also gets super hot where I live then again its texas and I'm used to it but what I would suggest is using some videos. My apt has a nice gym so I go there but I also do different videos like kickboxing or anything Jillian Michaels will get you sweating! Theres also things on you tube and SWIMMING IS ALSO VERY NICE
