Gordon Ramsay and adjectives.
Am I the only one that noticed how funny he is with his adjectives?
"Amazing. Stunning. Incredible."
Applied to EVERYTHING. Stunning art wall. Incredible deep fat fryer. Amazing paper plates.
Noticed it during a mystery box challenge, when he said he would make a "stunning pizza."
Is this just a showbiz thing to inject a greater sense of value on the items/foods/abilities he's describing? Now I can't stop noticing it.
It's more prolific than his cursing.

I hate that man. Ignorant bully IMO.
But yes, he does do that.0 -
Love Ramsey, idk it could be a british thing or a showbiz thing. the cursing certainly is a british thing, have you seen kitchen nightmares UK? everyone sounds just like him.0

I love Gordon Ramsay. I actually work in his hotel chain, and have met him twice...he's actually a very nice man, who expects nothing less than perfection from his chefs...which is a good thing when you pay $50 for a breakfast at his restaurant...0

I think it's just his personality. I think he has some equally creative negative adjectives, but they usually beep those out.
We enjoy Hell's Kitchen, but I've never been able to get into any of his other shows.0 -
I love when he uses his adjectives and I did notice that everything is "stunning, amazing, and incredible". He makes me laugh. I know that the drama is all staged, but I really enjoy Hell's Kitchen and MasterChef. I think he says it to make everything appear larger than life and above average.0

I don't think it has anything to do with showbiz itself. Graham nor Joe use that type of language. I absolutely love Gordon though. I love the way he expresses himself... adjectives and curse words alike0

I always wonder - the outtakes where they interview the people -
It seems like it's real time with the events of the show.
Which means that:
a) They are scripted.
b) they stop service to grab people to comment immediately (unlikely)
c) they ask a ton of generic/leading questions and what/ifs before and after service and splice them in where they look like they would fit - just like how they manipulate what "On next week's..." preview0 -

I think they interviews are done afterwards, and they ask leading questions like.. what did you think when this happened, what did you say to this person, how did you feel... so that they can go back and insert their answers.
The previews are comically manipulated... "Next week, on the most explosive episode yet, see what unthinkable act occurs in the kitchen that lands one chef in hot water..." Then there are some gasps, screams, and like an abulance or something, and it turns out that like, somone scalded their pinky finger.. silly, bit always good for a laugh.0 -
I thinks its a small part drama, especially on Master Chef. He doesnt use nice ones so much on Hell's Kitchen a favorite around our house is *insert brittish accent "You burnt the F*cking RISOTTO!!!"
Big Gordon Ramsey fan. lol
Master Chef seems very planned, scripted and edited. Guess that brings in a captive audience.
I dislike when they are going to eliminate someone and the lead the person on thinking its them and the he says...."your time at master chef is....cuts to commercial........not over, back to your station...." gah!0 -
He is someone who makes me think every day about cooking and things like that. I like that he can be similar to a Drill Instructor who is the hardest anyone will ever be on you, but is only doing to make you be the best you can be. High standards are not offensive, just very hard to reach. If you learn about the man and what he came from you see that he has made it through some serious struggles and pain to reach the Top of the Food world. Then he turned that into a huge TV empire. I would watch any show he did, because the man is just crazy and has the highest standards of perfection. Plus to get a compliment from him you do really know you are doing an excellent job. No question about that. Some just can't take the critique..0

You forgot "brilliant" (pronounced "brih-yant").0

I'm so in love with Gordon Ramsay. So of course I watch Hell's Kitchen and Master Chef. I like them both and I think I like them so much because they are pretty different. He is sooo rough on Hell's Kitchen but on Master Chef (although he can dish out the language) he doesn't as often. It almost seems like there's 2 sides of him. I try to catch Kitchen Nightmares when I can too. Doesn't he have like 2 more new shows that are getting ready to start soon?
I him and his adjectives.0
