I know what my personal view on cleanses are and i've done Isagenix before but I'm curious to other people's experiences with it.

Sorry, the whole cleanse thing has been flogged to death.
They're unnecessary (your body, given a balanced nutritious diet does an admirable job of detoxing & cleansing itself) and, if being used for weight loss, are only a band aid. Think in terms of changes that are healthy and sustainable - quick fixes rarely are.0 -
Sorry i guess i should have made my way through the posts. I worked for a homeopathic dr who advocated cleanses quarterly... so I've done them in the past and I know i always felt way more energetic afterwards. Cleaner. Healthier.0

Just boost your fibre (fresh fruits and vegetables)and water intake and you'll experience the same thing and keep a lot more money in your wallet!0

^^^ Amen to that!! I'd rather eat right and stay "cleansed" on regular basis...0 -

This alone should answer your question.0 -

I guess it does. I guess my curiousity into other's views got me!.. Quarterly cleanses have left me feeling fantastic. The dr. said that even when people eat healthy...fibre, water etc, our bodies build up toxins. Helping flush them out is beneficial. Each to their own though.0 -
I am writing from personal experience. 5 years ago, I weighed over 175lbs. But by changing my diet and working out regularly, I lost 50lbs and was down to about 125lbs. Despite losing all this weight, I still had a belly - a pooch that hung over my bikini bottom. Despite eating clean and crazy amounts of exercise (I was averaging 12 hours a week of pure cardio), I simply couldn't get rid of this pooch and it really bothered me. A friend told me about Isagenix and despite others telling me that I didn't need to clease my body, I chose to do a 30 day cleanse.
In the 30 days, I lost a total of 7 lbs and for the first time in my adult life I was a size 2 and had a flat belly, I got rid of the pooch. My belly looked amazing! I was able to continue look this good for about 5 months after my cleanse (naturally I was on the Isagenix maintenance program).
Once I reached my goal, instead of trying to maintain it, I reverted back to my pre-Isagenix way of eating - ie, supplementing my diet with cookies, chips, ice-cream, etc and 4 months later, I was back to 125 lbs once again. I've recently gotten back on the programme and already I'm noticing a difference in the way my clothes feel.
I don't think that I need to cleanse in order to lose weight. I find the Isagenix programme easily complements my goal of a healthy eating lifestyle. A Shake in the morning, a healthy lunch, 2 healthy snacks and another Shake in the evening helps me eat cleanly because I don't have to spend much time thinking what I'm going to eat. When I have to think and figure out what I should eat versus what I want to eat when I'm hungry, that's when my willpower goes out the window and I eat unhealthily.
Hope this makes sense. :flowerforyou:0 -
I started Isagenix about three months ago based on a recommendation from a close friend (who does NOT sell the product).
For starters, let me just say that their products appealled to me because my lifestyle is busy and I require something I can eat and go and I wanted a cleanse that I could do over a period of time. I didn't want to partake in a cleanse that would leave me hungry, weak and ready to binge the minute it was over.
Since I have a fairly good grasp on healthy eating to begin with, I felt that introducing Isagenix into my lifestyle would be easy -- and it has been. I have lost approximately 10lbs since starting (I did have some setbacks midway through due to the fact that my family relocated so there was a period of time we lived out of boxes ). Since begining in late May, I've noticed changes in my skin, hair, and nails. My engery levels have been through the roof! I took a month "off" where I didn't follow the program strictly but still had my shake in the morning, a lunch and a sensible dinner (b/c I like to have meals with my family) and have been able to maintain a 1-2lb loss each week and half. I enjoy the flexibility of having different Isagenix products to choose from and to take with me during my busy day. The chocolate lean shake tastes great (just ordered the vanilla to try out) and I have been a happy consumer thus far. I am going on vacation in about a week and plan to pack my shakes with me since I know they will help me manage my eating while visiting family and friends down south.
At this point in time, I am recommitting myself to another 30 day cleanse starting at the end of the August. I feel the benefits of maintaining a cleansed system have been crucial to my weightloss goals. Another important point to add is that, considering that I reside in a very northern remote part of Canada where food costs are high, the products are affordable, shipping costs are low and I actually save money on my month food bill using the products. So, all in all, as I said earlier, I am a happy customer and I forsee Isagneix products becoming a normal part of my (and my family's) healthy lifestyle.0 -
I'm glad to hear your results! I just started my first 30 day with ISA and so far so good! Enjoy!0
