Chicago to Phoenx... Portillo's Hot Dogs, White Castle, Gino's East, just to name a few....

Oh, also Panera... I miss it, and Paradise Bakery although owned by the same company is nowhere near the same.

    Try these:

    http://www.britishfoodshop.com/
    http://www.britishfooddepot.com/
    http://www.britishgoodsonline.com/

My husband is from England and missed a lot of the "home" foods. We live in Canada so we're pretty lucky that we can find the majority of the foods here in British shops. Including pasties! :)

Have either of you read any Terry Pratchett? I think of Dwarven war bread anytime German bread is mentioned...

I've never moved from Cincinnati, OH but if I did - I'd totally miss my Skyline Chili, Graeter's Ice Cream and LaRosa's Pizza.
They sell Graeters at my grocery stores here in Georgia. It's delicious. Not as good as Jeni's, but good.

We moved from Biloxi, MS to Fort Knox, KY and I miss crawfish and Barq's Red Creme Soda.... There is only one gas station near us that sells it and it's out of the way, but when we pass it up and we think about it, my husband will stop and grab me one. He's awesome. LOL

I moved from Washington state to Iowa. In Washington we eat tarter with our fries! It is delicious and I miss it so much! I especially miss the tarter sauce from Zip's which I just can't replicate. I am going back in October and that is going to be one of my splurges..a Zip's bacon burger with fries and tarter! Yum!

I moved from the south to New England and there isn't any proper barbecue here. It's sad. Not really something I can make myself or bring back with me, so I just have it when I go for a visit.

There is a horrible thing to miss out on! NO BBQ better than the south!

im moved from Michigan to Mississippi and dearly miss our Kogel hot dogs! Whenever we drive back for a visit we always bring a bunch back with us.

Kogel's are the best! Serve the Curve! Especially at A&W in Michigan. Best. Coney. Dogs. Ever.

I moved from Canada to Denmark and missed everything - donuts, triscuits, AW root beer, Arby´s, perogies... That was 20 some years ago. Then when we were visiting in Canada I missed the Danish rye bread and breakfast buns (rundstykker)!
Now I miss all of these things no matter where ever I am after have been diagnosed with celiac disease.

OMG! I lived in Biloxi too. I miss this little place there next to the casino that sold raw oysters. It blew away with Katrina tho.

Moved from Philly to Maryland...found a place that makes decent cheesesteaks, but still looking for a good hoagie :(

ACK! We could be twins! I also moved from the Philly area to MD and haven't had a good hoagie since. (Of course,m I suppose I don't want to have to actually log a Hoagie... ) I've also had a hard time finding good pizza... sigh.
