Is it okay to go over in protein??

New to this.... 1st day.... and I am already 17 grams OVER in my protein! Is that okay? I feel like I am eating good- eggs, beef jerky snack, chix breast... good protein, right?! I still have dinner to go.... thoughts??

I'm not a nutritionist and I am also not too far into my journey here on MFP, but I go over one my protein pretty much on a daily basis.0

As long as your are within you calorie goal, you aren't going to gain weight. If your protein goal is set to MFPs default value, then it is pretty low anyway. I try to aim for 30% and I still go over lol.0

Can't see your diary, so I don't know what your goal is, but if you are using MFP's default for protein, the YES it is absolutely fine to go over. Of course, I assume you don't have any medical issues preventing you from processing protein. IMO, MFP defaults for protein are way too low for 95% of people.0
