Hi All,
I have been at this for a little while, and have been addicted to MFP in spurts.
I started out with some weight loss in January, and by the time i discovered MFP it was already April and i was down about 9lbs. Unfortunately, I have not been giving MFP all of the attention it deserves, and thus have obviously hit a plateau.
I think having a wider range of friends and support on MFP will be the motivation i need to stay accountable.
A brief rundown of myself: 28 y/o woman, in ON, i work a desk job so i have to force myself to be active on my own time. I had a shoulder and knee injury a few years back and became sedentary and put on a bunch of weight. i was able to shed a good amount of it, but i still have a ways to go until i am going to be happy. i dont have any particular goals in mind. I'm thinking though if i am able to lose another 20lbs or so (and keep it off) i will be right where i have always wanted to be.
So please add me as a friend, i need some outside motivation because honestly, looking at the bikinis in my closet isn't cutting it - its just making me more discouraged!!

Hi there! I know exactly where you are coming from. I went to a water park on July 4th and swore it would be the last time I felt so disgusting in a swimsuit. I'm tired of feeling uncomfortable in my skin. Please add me! I just signed up today and can't figure out how to add friends. We can do this!0

I feel the same way.... I'm a network engineer and I sit at at desk all day long. I have just started running and watching what I eat I will try and give you any motivation you need.0

I just added you, but also had a thought/suggestion I thought I'd share. A good friend of mind works a desk job too, but was recently able to switch to a standing desk, and it made a huge difference for her! I know it isn't an option for some jobs, but standing desks are getting really popular these days, and it can be very easy and cheap to convert your desk if that's something you might be interested in. :flowerforyou:0 -
