My lunch includes a mixture poached chicken breast, steamed long grain brown rice, green beans and steamed broccoli. I have been using La Choy Teryaki Marinade/Sauce for flavor, but it is extremely high in sodium. Any suggestions for an alternative?

Why don't you figure out what flavor you want and just search if there's a low sodium version of it. Lemon pepper/Cajun/Chipotle/jerk should have low sodium versions. Or if not, find recipes for rubs and omit salt.

I use Aromat, it is high sodium, but you need a tiny sprincle so It doesnt load my sodium up.

I use rosemary and garlic most often for chicken. Fresh from my herb garden. Yum!

I would look in the market for other brands of marinades, maybe in the deli or meat areas. LaChoy is one of the cheapest brands, I would look at Kikkoman, San-J or House of Tang brands and then there are some that are more the specialty brands, S&F Chef Sauces made in Portland Maine.

Taco sauce or hot sauce... BBQ sauce... those have a lot of solid flavor and don't need much to go a long way. I use taco sauce as a salad dressing now.
