So there are protein shakes and everything for weight lifting but is there anything special for cardio? I just want to be burning as much fat as possible when already working my *kitten* off

Water and a light snack that incorporates protein and complex carbohydrates is fine.0

All depending upon how long you do that cardio for and what you do.
For instance, people that run long distances (especially half marathons upwards) are advised to take on board electrolyte drinks.
Just keep hydrated and try to eat lots of protein. A good snack after a training session is a couple of hard boiled eggs - they will keep you going until your next meal then.0 -
I think the protein shakes are really aimed at packing in the protien for supporting the mucsel when weight training. They are FINE when working cardio, but might hamper weight loss b/c of calories/sugar/ext. I LOVE cardio- and I use water as my 'drink'!! Good luck on your journey!! If I have learned one thing, it is that the more information you go through the better to always make informed decisions....but DON'T OVERTHINK IT!! Eat fruits and veggies and good fats. Limit carbs and ANYTHING that is conveniently in a package (yessss even diet foods/snacks) and consistantly work out. You will do amazing!0

It's the exercise that does the fat burning. if you're doing an intense workout that's more than 90 minutes or so you may want to consider a sports drink to give you a quick hit of carbs/electrolytes to help you keep up the effort but otherwise water during the workout and, maybe, a clif bar or something like that (carb:protein 4:1) afterward to aid recovery.0

I try to eat carb/protien an hour or so before cardio...then water during...and I like the special K2O protien water (5 grams of protien and 30 calories) after...I am just a beginner...no expert by any means....I figure I am working muscles jogging cycling etc and they need protien to repair....0
