Hello and HELP!!! How did you make the cabbage soup? I've heard about it over the years. Thank you!0

Yeah the soup works but not forever.... I ended up sick with that soup. I lost weight and gained it back. So don't think its a magical soup.0

Really?!?! You're still trying fad diets?
Eat clean, whole, nutritious foods from fruits, veggies, lean meats, and whole grains.
Stay within your caloric goals, exercise regularly, and drink plenty of water.
It's not hard and it works.0 -
I agree with Shelley and not to mention I will tell you by experience I ate nothing but a banana for breakfast and soup for lunch and dinner before I found out how to really eat yes I might have lost 15 lbs but I tell you what as soon as you eat anything other than soup your going to rocket back up quickly in weight.0

Alright, some people were pretty harsh, but honest.
My Dad did the Atkins diet over...and over..and over. It would always work WHILE he was doing it, but as soon as he stopped he would balloon right back up. He never really tried anything different than those fad diets and would get very frustrated. A few years ago my Mom decided (for probably the 10th time) that it was time to lose weight, even though she only weighed about 140...and she actually got serious about it. After getting down to 115, my Dad decided it was time for him to do the same. He hasn't dropped many POUND necessarily, but he has dropped inches and looks SO much better. Moral of the story: Fad diets won't work forever. As soon as you stop the fad, the weight comes back. Find it in yourself to eat HEALTHY and EXERCISE and eventually you'll see that weight shed the right way - and you'll learn a lifestyle that you won't go back on. Good luck0 -
I am doing the veggie style soup of this diet; however, I am not doing it to lose weight. I've done this to try to kick start things for me again, and to help cut my carb cravings before I go on a low G.I. diet. I have PCOS and just counting calories and exercising doesn't do it for me, as it is very hard to lose weight with PCOS. So when people say 'it's easy and it works,' try to remember that not everyone is the same, and not everyone does a soup diet like this for quick weight loss. I've lost about 5 pounds all together, but I am ready for most of it to go back on once I have some carbs and reintroduce other foods into my diet. I feel much healthier, less bogged down, and have a lot less carb cravings, so for me, this was the key! Now tomorrow I go back to just healthy eating and have a greater appreciation for the food I eat on a daily basis.

Seriously? I don't want to sound negative but I have done diets like that and all it is is a quick fix most of what you lose is water weight and the minute you start eating real food it will all come back and then some. There is no substitute for exercise and eating a healthy balanced diet.0

I have done this diet so many times, I cant even count.
Good things about it- you can lose quick, Ive lost no less than 11 lbs in a week on this diet. It can be good if you have a wedding, or such event a week away, and you need to lose quick to fit into a dress. Also, if you are able to keep eating well after that week, its a good jumpstarter for any diet, I lost some cellulite, and felt healthy a detoxed everytime after.
Bad things about it-after the week is up, I felt good about myself and would give myself a reward, usually a drink or dinner out, and I was in starvation mode I would gain like 5 lbs back from one meal. Not that I ate 5 lbs of food, but my body would cling and hold on to every calorie it can hold on to for weeks. I always gained it all back in a week or two, plus more. Also, the majrity of those pound lost are water weight, not actual fat pounds. I was also very tired and had no energy doing this diet. Not a long term option by any means, in a nutshell.0 -
I'm not into cabbage diet but I love cabbage. It's low cal, high nutrition and high fiber.
It's the only veggie that I can eat every day. I ate almost 1 head of cabbage each day and have regular BM.0
