Hi guys,

So i normally use the food doctor organic quinoa packs that you bung in the microwave and add half to my chicken salad...it's quick and easy but bit worried as just seen it has sunflower oil added..is that bad?

Here is the link to the product: http://www.thefooddoctor.com/easygrainsquinoa-PEASYGQUINOA/

Thanks xxx

As you know quinoa is super good for you but as with everything... moderation. And that goes for sun flower oil as well. Sunflower oil isnt the best oil around but it doesnt seem to be too bad:) I dont think you should worry however if you are still concerned, there are many more types of quinoa out there although maybe not microwavable.

I got a couple packets of Marks and Spencers microwavable quinoa and those were okay. If I get quinoa I like to cook a whole batch and mix it with lentils for some extra protein. I would say yes if you're strapped for time.

I didn't know they had microwave quinoa. I should look for that. Have you all tried the red quinoa

So what does it taste like?

Does it have less calories than rice?

How about Quorn and Quinoa? Has a nice ring to it - especially if you don't pronounce Quinoa correctly :-)
