I came down with this a bit over a week ago and did a search and found this thread:
http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/668050-plantars-fasciitis?hl=plantar+#posts-9728711
From this thread, I tried several things/suggestions/ideas from post on that thread and have experience (in some case instant relief) and in just over a week's time...it's feeling at least 80-90% better. :drinker: Here's what I started doing:
1.) Taking Solaray - Super Bio C Buffered, 1000 mg 2 Vegetarian Capsules
The first day/time I took these, I felt INSTANT relief from the knife like stabbing pain in the heel of my foot...instant.
2.) I stopped walking around the house barefooted (which I love doing and have been doing forever--it was hard, but when faced with this powerful pain, I have forksaken my barefooted ways from now on).
3.) purchased two bare of Birkenstock shoes...one pair as houseshoes/slippers and the other as walking shoes--WOW, what a huge immediate difference I feel/'felt.
4.) purchased some Walkfit Orthotic insoles...I put these in my bowling shoes and in my other outside walking shoes (besides my new Birkenstocks) and they do take some getting used to--it's important to follow the direction with these and start out 1 hour per day and work your way up to wearing them regularly, and they help a lot--I really like them and glad I got them!
Doing these 4 things have been a life saver for me, because the pain was nothing less than excruciating, but it's healing more and more each day (in a really short amount of time) and it's just a matter of time before it will be all gone...I'm sure of it!
