i originally lost 13 lbs following myfitnesspal, however due to a massive amount of exercise/weight training my body started aching constantly and i was feeling so tired all the time, also the weight loss stopped for a few weeks and i got told to eat more (still not over my calories allowed). i have done this now for the past 5 days but instead of dropping weight, my weight is going up by 3 lbs in 5 days. why is this? and will it start to drop again?

You haven't given it long enough yet. And it could be due to your monthly cycle, excess sodium in your diet causing bloating, or just water retention from exercise, or just body weight fluctuations (mine can vary by 5lbs in any given day).0 -
Over-exercising can cause you to retain water, which might be one culprit.
Is that '3 lbs. in 5 days' ONE 3 lb. gain in one 5 day period or several? What level are you eating at?0 -
its only gone up 3lbs in the 5 days... which is fine, but i was just slightly worried as i dont want it to continue.0

thankyou so much for suggesting this, just read it and it has made perfect sense. i now understand the weight increase has happened and hopefully soon once my body refuels it will start dropping again. thankyou0 -

^^^ This. My weight went up 5 lbs overnight. It took me 2 weeks to lose it but then I lost even more.0 -
This is a good explanation of water gain after an increase in cals
