Do you see me? I know what you were thinking. "That poor sad fat girl. If only she'd wise up and get healthy. I bet she sits in from of the TV with a bucket of ice cream and a shovel." Never assume anything by appearances. I know what you see. But I also know what you don't see. You don't see me crawl out of bed at 4:30am and spend an hour at the gym 5 days a week desperately working to undo years of overeating and emotional turmoil. You don't see me painstakingly calculate every calorie that goes into my body, or guzzle cup after cup of water. You don't see how far I've come already or how hard I've worked. Never underestimate me. I am not who I appear to be.

Good for you in making those steps!!!! So happy for you and betting you are feeling better about yourself. Increased water consumption alone can help a body feel better0

I know. My co workers probably think I am lazy or unmotivated. I get up at 5:45 get myself ready, my son ready. Drive 45 min drop off my son start work at 8 to 4;30. hit the store gas station or whatever. get my son drive 45 min home. take care of the dog cook dinner. so by 7 sometimes I exercise sometimes not. then its bath time and to bed by 9. husband is out of town. been thinking lately about exercising at 5 am that way if I am tired after work I don't have to make up lame excuses not to. Glad you are on my friend list.0

That's exactly why I get up so early. Everyone is sleeping and my husband is guaranteed to be home with the kids so no one misses me. Then, my gym time is out of the way and I don't have to try to figure out where I'm going to fit in a workout between working full time and being a mom. And I don't miss out on any time with my family.0 -
Great post. I also go at 5 am for the same reason...I KNOW that if I wait until after work it just isn't going to happen.0

My suggestion: WHO CARES what other people think?! They are not in YOUR shoes. I know it's easier said than done, but you just focus on YOU and how hard YOU'RE working to get healthy. All of the haters and judgement passers can shove it up their a$$es.
I do now. The only person's opinion of me that truly matters is my own. It sometimes get to me how people make assumptions based on appearances when there is so much more to a human being than the body they walk around in. I know how I look to others. And I just don't care. I know who I am. Love me as I am or watch me walk away.0 -
