Best overall food scale?

I got a taylor Add-and weigh kitchen scale with an 11 pound capacity. Seems good when you are cooking recipes for 2 or more I guess...

But I weighed my farmers market green peppers after I cored them and they were halfway in between the first 1 millimeter like line.

So I guess they were .5 or .6 ounces approx.

Anyone know about a good scale that is more sensitive? Like would tell me I have .25 ounces of cheese or 34 grams of onion?

Either a digital or one with a smaller overall capacity, the digitals have the advantage of being able to reset to 0, it can cut down on the number of utensils used, I weigh the empty bowl, reset (tare) to zero, add ingredient that I want to measure, tare, add the next ingredient...
Usually the digital ones can be switched from grams to ounces with the push of a button.

The one I'm using is a digital that I got from house-wares at either the local department store or a hardware store, not sure which of the couple scales it is.

thanks, you're right. I was just being cheap with this $18 scale I bought (had a target gift card)...

    will prob go with this:

And I'll probably use both for different purposes... thanks :)

Mine was $15 I believe and 11lb capacity has its uses but for viewing smaller items or measuring spices the lower capacity spring scale or digital will help

perfect. yeah I'm thinking 2 scales would be best. Because I would love to be able to measure spices and since I often cook for one, I use a small amount of each ingredient which isn't really registering on the bigger scale.

I recently got "The Biggest Loser" kitchen scale ($20) and I love it. It is digital and it weighs in grams or oz. I love that you can put a bowl on it and then turn it on and it does not register the weight of the bowl just the food. You can weigh several things in ONE bowl by turning off putting the bowl with food in it and when you turn it back on it is a 0 so you can add more stuff to the bowl.
