I have been using MFP for a short while and usually just look at calories and fat. Recently I have been eating chicken salad and am noticing that I am going way over my protein goal for the day. Like, today, I have 200 calories left, but am over my protein by 60 grams. I work out about 3 times a week, so I don't need excess protein to build tons of muscle. I can understand not getting all my calories from carbs or fat, but can I really be eating too much protein?
Sorry if this is a repeat question, but I couldn't really find what I was looking for.

I don't think you will hurt a thing...
You will know you are getting to much protein when you are no longer 'regular' THAT is the side effect for some people-me included. But I still don't cut back on protein-just work around it.0 -
Ok, sounds good. Thanks for the reply.0

You're fine. IMO, the default MFP protein calculation should be used as a minimum. The value of higher percentages of protein for weight loss and overall health has been documented and backed by numerous scientific studies.0
