I have been struggeling with health and weight loss isues for as long as I can remember. I have been on this site for over a year and have been trying to go it alone. Possibly some friends might make things easier, I am 48 year old male with 50 pounds to loose. Add me as a friend so we can help each other.

Feel free to add me if you like. I'm also told there's a yoga board here (although I haven't looked or it yet) -- there are probably plenty of men on there! We have men in the yoga classes I go to, and one of my favorite instructors is a man -- and this is small-town TX, where "traditional" gender roles seem more firmly entrenched than other places I've lived. Yoga is awesome; keep gong even if you ARE the only guy. That's not a bad thing; you'll get lots of attention. :)

I've been on the site for about 7 months and have lost 40 pounds, mainly due to the advice and encouragement of my MFP pals. I, too have struggled with being overweight most of my life, but have a healthy BMI today. Add me if you'd like.

Weight loss is so not a game to be played alone, but it is also a game to be played with others who are motivated to do what you are doing in the right way! Feel free to add me as we struggle through this journey together!

Motivation is key, but it helps to have some biddies to keep you motivated. I have found good advice and even better workout programs from my buddies! Welcome:)))

Building a support group on MFP is essential to success, it adds accountability and provides encouragement. Going it alone is what got us all here in the first place. We're approximately the same age with the same goals, feel free to add me.

At the present time, I have no male pals, but you are so welcome to add me if you like. Without the help of my GALPALS that I have I would not be this far. It would be kinda cool to say GUYPAL too! Motivation, consistency, accountability and responsibility comes from within yourself, BUT this site and your pals are EXCELLENT to keep you on track. Good luck!
