I wanted to go to the gym this morning but we are in the midst of a snow/ freezing rain/ rain storm and I couldn't have got there and back in enough time to be at work on time. I am now feeling antsy and in need of some exercise.

I won't have time tonight as my evening is already filled up.:grumble: :grumble:

If I don't have time to go somewhere or don't feel like leaving the house, a lot of times I will just jog in place. It actually burns decent calories...

I'd look silly doing that in the office. I did bring my gym gear in the hopes that it will clear up by lunch time. If not, today is a write off for exercise

You can always go to exercise tv - online or from your cable at home.

We don't have that here and tonight is full from right after work until bed time. Not making excuses here...just wishing the precipitation would stop so I can get out at lunch. I haven't had a day where I haven't done some form of exercise ( even if it is just a 45 minute walk) in months.

I can sure try some of those..... it can't hurt
  • Ugh! I hate this weather too! I am in my last month before running a marathon and my mileage has increased to 5-7 miles a day, plus my long runs on the weekends are 10-20 miles. Try doing that on a treadmill! It's IMPOSSIBLE!!! I prefer to go outside, and the cold doesnt bother me...but the snow and ice make it difficult to walk--forget running! haha

so I'm right there with you. I've had to skip a few days because I just couldn't get on the treadmill and the weather was too yucky. I'm in buffalo...we are expecting a HUGE storm (getting hit from all sides!) so it's not even like i can hope it will get better soon! it IS december though, so i should be thankful for all the 60 degree days we've had throughout the month of November.
