I noticed that my ankles are less swollen; where my lower legs join my ankle they have a more "tapered" look. I think what is happening is that I have increased my water intake. I learned recently that I have a sky-high sodium intake, although my circulating sodium levels have always been normal. I realized that my lifestyle changes (like drinking more water and exercising- still working on the sodium part) have caused me to decrease the swelling in my ankles, which I did not even realize was going on.

Not all victories are weight-loss related. Sometimes they are the little things, like losing swelling you did not know you had, losing inches (a big deal for me). I turned 40 this year, and I think my new exercise regimen as well as my attempts to improve my diet have helped me avert some major health issues and even crises as I get older.

Yes!!!! Thanks for reminding me to look at the little things too!!! Keeps me motivated to continue my healthy lifestyle.
Watch out for foods with omegga 6 in them. They cause swelling and inflamation. Omega 3s decrease inflamation so they are always the better choice. Keep up the excellent work!!!
