Headless bodies...

Maybe it's just me, but all of the profile pics with just headless torsos is starting to freak me out. I mean congrats on your weight loss and everything, but can't you put a face in there too?

    I have a head shot cos it was the first photo of me I could find that was not too bad. It is a photo from my work pass so I see it every day. I am not yet ready to post "body" shots headless or not!!

    I wondered about this too at first. But you can't choose how MFP crops your avatar. So if your pic isn't a complete square, its going to chop off the top of your pic.
    Don't get me wrong as I love MFP, but I do wish its picture functionality was built out more. (ability to rotate, crop your avatar yourself, write a comment on your pic, etc) Hopefully for a future upgrade it will be

    My hair was a mess that day...hell no!! LOL

    Not to mention for me, I want the eyes to go to my legs not my face....I think if my face was in the shot, most of the focus would be on my face....

    well my reasoning is, if I'm going to post my face on the internet I feel like I need a little bit of tinted moisturizer and some powder and to be sure my hair isn't a total mess. when I do my body-shot progress pics I usually don't feel like doing all that. so.. my body shots do have my head cropped off, and I do face shots every so often too but I do those when I'm already looking halfway decent... I'm pretty low maintenance and put on makeup maybe 2-3x a month max.. I'm not going to do it just to take a pic of my fat. I apologize if it offends you or creeps you out! :wink:

    I like my legs. And it's my avatar. It doesn't bother me what other people choose to do with their own profiles.

    It does not offend me or creep me out. I'm a smartass and I thought it would be a good topic to get started. I was just wondering why there was so many without faces. You mean not everyone becomes a big ham when the camera is pointed at them???

    1. I'm unphotogenic. Like, record settingly unphotogenic.
    2. This isn't about my face. I have a boyfriend, I don't care if someone thinks I'm cute.
    3. I'm really, REALLY proud of my pic right now. I worked hard for that. Though it may not be impressive to everyone out there, to me, it's a daily reminder of what I've already done, and how capable I am of doing more.
    4. Privacy. I like having a little anonymity. It makes it easier to be honest.
    5. Self conciousness?
