I lose motivation too fast..

Every time I decide to start working out, I always end up stopping because I don't see results fast enough. And my main problem is that I barely eat. I can't eat that much food and maybe that's why I don't see the results I'm looking for. I'm not overweight but I want to get fit and toned. I will workout for months and literally see almost no change. It makes me feel hopeless because why am I putting myself through this if it isn't working?

hiya, i can relate though yeah ive lost just over a stone & ppl say i look much better..... i still cant see it myself. I think with me, i no i have lost weight because of my clothes sizes but when i look in the mirror i dont see the body i want... & the baby bellys still their !!!! Then after a while ppl stop commenting & i begin to think oh no ive either put weight on or they have forgot argh !!!!!! Think us girls are all the same, want things to happen overnight but they dont ( keep at it. :happy:0

God told the man he had work for him to do, and showed him a large rock in front of his cabin. Jesus explained to the man how he was to push against the rock with all his might.
This the man did, day after day. For many years he toiled from sun up to sun down, his shoulders set squarely against the cold, massive surface of the unmoving rock, pushing it with all his might. Each night the man returned to his cabin sore, and worn out, feeling that his whole day had been spent in vain.
Noticing that the man was showing signs of discouragement, the devil decided to enter the picture by placing thoughts into the man’s weary mind. “You have been pushing against this rock for a long time, and it hasn’t budged. Why kill yourself over this? You are never going to move it.” Thus giving the man the impression that the task was impossible and that he was a failure.
He prayed, saying “Lord, I have labored long and hard in your service, putting all my strength to do that which you have asked. Yet, after all this time, I have not even been able to budge that rock. What is wrong? Why am I failing?”
The Lord responded compassionately, “My friend, When I asked you to serve me and you accepted, I told you that your task was to push against the rock with all your strength, which you have done. Never once did I mention to you that I expected you to move it. Your task was to push. And now you come to me with your strength spent, thinking that you have failed. But, is that really so?”
“Look at yourself. Your arms are strong and muscled, your back sinewy and brown, your hands are callused from constant pressure, and your legs have become massive and hard. Through opposition you have grown much and your abilities now surpass that which you used to have. Yet you haven’t moved the rock. But your calling was to be obedient and to push and to exercise your faith and trust in my wisdom. This you have done. I, my friend, will now move the rock.”0 -
I know not what to say to motivate you for i have not been in your situation of only having a bit to lose and just working to lose that last bit of fat for the toned look. I still have 75+ lbs to lose. I got motiviated due to my beautiful daughter who i want to be albe to run around with and keep up with.
I read your story about tearing your acl from kick boxing and being out for 8 months and people like you inspire me to keep going because you have had injuries and are able to maintain or lose
its all about the life style and should never be a chour, so maybe its just a change of venue or type of exercise you need to have fun and get motivated0 -

I think you're putting too much pressure on yourself, personally. Getting in shape is not just about the end point, it's the journey to that end. Just keep doing the needful and stop concentrating on the results so much, and one day you will find that you are at the point you want to be!0 -
Wow I think Jon's story says it all! Great story btw Jon! Christina- don't give up! Maybe try going to a local gym if you can afford it and asking them what would be the best fitness plan for you if you are trying to tone up... Hang in there- you can reach your goal!!0
