Anyone heard of this before, or perhaps used these DVD's? Thoughts, comments? I hadn't even heard of Tracy unitl this morning. Not rushing out to buy anything but I would appreciate some feedback. Thanks

Never heard of it. but now I have an overwhelming urge to google it0

OK I googled it and watched the promo video...A part of me now wants it but this is because I have a major addiction to buying workout programs/DVD's...However I will probably pass on it, the clips that where shown makes the moves look somewhat awkward to me and I have a cordination issue (LOL) so it kind of scared me off...atleast for now .....0

I personally dislike anything that has Tracy Anderson's name on it!
Reason being, she speaks total BS! One of the main things she has said before is that "no woman should lift more than 3lb weights" This is apparently to avoid creating bulk, and more of a lean, toned, dancers body. Apparently running bulks you up too because of the repetitive movement. :noway:
The workouts she favours are well over an hour a day, every day, on a really low calorie diet. No wonder they work! But are they healthy? I doubt it. Gwyneth Paltrow, one of her main clients, swears by her methods, yet has Osteopenia (precurser to osteoperosis)
Now I'm not saying that everyone has to lift heavy. I personally love to but not everyone does. What I don't like is the spreading on blatant misinformation, especially "facts" that can be so damaging. There is nothing wrong at all with lifting heavier than 3lb weights, a woman's handbag no doubt weighs more than that! It certainly won't bulk you up (unless you are taking steroids!)
I'm also not saying the workout is a bad one, I've never tried it so I wouldn't know. A workout on it's own won't cause problems such as I mentioned above, it may work, it may be useless All I am saying is that I wouldn't trust anything of hers.0 -
I have a friend LusciousLioness who does it.
LusciousLioness burned 1987 calories doing 195 minutes of cardio exercises, including "Metamorphosis by Tracy Anderson (OMINICENTRIC) 45 minutes"
She does it almost every day. good luck!0 -
I borrowed Metamorphosis from a friend and personally couldn't stand it. The cardio dvd was like hopping around on drugs at a club for half an hour, no structure or real choreography to it (more like Tracy's own LOOK AT ME DANCE video), could do the same thing listening to my own dance music for half an hour whilst hopping around like a muppet. The strength was okay, but really bizarre movements with ten thousand reps each. The diet plan is pure crap. I know some people love it, but it's definitely not for me. I decided to stick with my trusty Jillian Michaels workouts paired with Zumba.0

It might be a good workout, but I'm not sure. I couldn't get past the first three minutes. Not because it was hard, but because it was weird that her mouth isn't movingas she's "talking" during the workout because she does a voice over. She also just kind of bops around like an innocent teenage girl dancing around her room. Wasn't my cup of tea.0

Just wanted to share an IPOM moment. Went grocery shopping and they were giving samples of Lemon meringue pie and cinnamon rolls with cream cheese frosting. It was torture I tell ya. But I said no thank you. Even at the deli when I ordered my chicken breast lunch meat they offered me a slice to try it and I said NO!.
But when I got home I had to eat something for my good behavior. I opted for a 100 cal bag of popcorn.0 -
sorry, the above post was meant for another group.0
