What was your worst first date ever?
i was talking with a friend today who was set up on a blind date and her story was so unbelievably awful, i wondered what other stories might be out there.
my worst date ever i would have to say was a blind date set up by a couple i was friends with.... i had texted with him beforehand and he seemed really sweet, so i decided to go through with it, and we met at a fairly nice restaurant.
i suppose this is where i should have seen things going downhill.... by the end of the meal, when we were about to recieve the bill, he handed the server a groupon (group coupon kind of thing)... now i have no problem with people using coupons for dinner or trying to save a little money on things, but i feel like he shouldn't have done this right in front of me maybe... you know a first date is when you should really be going all out, you know? anyways, this was hardly my biggest issue.... now i've worked in restaurants before so i am a very good tipper myself and i expect other people to tip at leeeaast 15% as well... well my blind date left our server literally almost nothing... when i asked him if he realized how much he'd left hoping he did his math wrong, he told me that you're "not supposed to tip on alcohol or after taxes." perhaps this wouldn't have been such a big deal to me if we hadn't had like 5 cocktails between us..
anyways, that was just dinner.... then we get to the theater where we were going to see a movie, and while we were standing in line waiting to buy our tickets, my date told me that if the ticket guy asked, i was to say i was 12 years old, i laughed and asked him why, he said, "i'm going to get you a children's ticket... you could pass for 12." well.. i started laughing... i thought he was seriously kidding, however, i was laughing alone... he was completely serious. and i'll be damned if he didn't get up there and ask for one adult and on kids... by this point, things were so awkward i couldn't believe i had ever thought this penny pinching freak was normal.
so after the movie, i immediately went home and never called him again.
this was my worst first date yet, i'd really like to hear yours!!!

#1. Showing up at the door to find out that she had a kid. Didn't tell me before hand. Not a big deal, but I think thats something a guy should know!
#2. Asked me when I planned on getting married, and the kid started asking questions as well.
#3. Told me that she planned to be prego again on her wedding night! AHHHHH! Run like hell!0 -
WOW! Thats insane! I can't believe he actually asked for a kids ticket!? Should have kicked him in the nuts for GP'S!0

So mine isn't about a first date.. but I can totally relate to the "kids price" thing. My aunt, who hated me and treated me like a leach when my mom gave her money to pay for myself and my brother during outings while mom was at work.... always forced me to lie about my age.

Six Flags
You name it.. I was 16 the last time she made me lie and say I was 12. I was always really worried about getting caught, she told me if we got caught she would blame me then beat me. She never laid a hand on me that I remember, but at 21 or 22 (I'm 28 now) I started talking to my mom about these experiences, and she can't hardly believe her sister would do this... =/
If a man did this to me on a date.. I'd kick him in his balls probably more verbally than physically. A weirdo like that might just like it if he were assaulted.0 -
