"Dispatches investigates what's happened to the five-a-day campaign, which was designed to get us all eating more fruit and veg. Reporter Jane Moore reveals how this vital health message has been hijacked as a marketing tactic, and how the food industry uses the campaign to promote sugary, fatty, salty products like ready meals, soups and drinks."

Dang I'll be at work and can't record this end .
If that description is correct Yarwell, it is shameful and just goes to show just how vitally important it is that people use their common-sense with regards to losing weight rather than believing everything they see and hear.0 -
Oh thanks have just set that up to record0

Slightly off topic, but there is also a show on BBC on Thursday about sports supplements, which people may find interesting too. It seems aimed at the general public, so may be a bit simplified, but still could be worth a watch.
I will edit the post with the link later.
*EDIT*

It'll be on 4OD http://www.channel4.com/programmes/4od after broadcast at least for UK viewers.
I'm expecting it to be dumbed down and a touch hysterical TBH. My (limited) understanding of "five a day" is that it's about eating a portion of each of 5 different fruits and vegetables daily in order to get a range of vitamins, anti-oxidants, etc etc. The original objective may be met by a chocolate coated banana (and 4 other things) perhaps.0
