Uk slimmers

Hi
Just wondering if there are any uk slimmers out there, it's great that this site covers all over the world but it can make for a few problems when trying out recipes as we seem to be very behind in what we can get here !
Love to chat and swap ideas and recipes with other dieters , from anywhere but uk especially .

Fatty bimbo

    Hi there,

What do you mean by "we seem to be very behind in what we can get" with relation to recipes? I would respond but I'm confused!

I think fattybimbo means that we can't obtain or it's very difficult to find things like tempeh, tamari and other ingredients in the UK.

I'm from Yorkshire too - feel free to add me.

I think rather than us being behind it's often a case that the recipe just names things differently - Google's your friend on this one :)

Best of luck with it x
  • Midlands here :-) happy for you UK people to add me alao :-)

No it isn't! You can get that stuff everywhere!
  • Hi
Yes I just mean that we don't have the variety that the USA slimmers seem to have , when I've looked at the recipes they make on other sites so much of them are stuff we don't have.
We are slowly catching up I think with fry light etc but they have an enormous number of salad dressings etc that we don't have. I know when my mum visits the states she comes back with loads of stuff .

Hi, I'm from Devon. MFP has given me a pretty strict calorie allowance but I still manage to eat lots of lovely things which I make mostly from scratch. Please feel free to add me, I'm pretty new to this but could do with some friends for motivation now the initial novelty is wearing off!

Hiya I'm down in Sussex near Brighton, I eat normal food, have the occasional hiccup so 100% human

I know what you mean about being behind when I go to the US I come back with my case jammed with all the good things we can't get here ... and sorry to all my friends in the US who might find this cheesy .. I  Walmart !!!

There are places you can get some imported US foods but they are stupidly expensive

Ah, I see what you mean. Look on the bright side - they don't have sugar free squash or M&S ready meals.
