Can anyone recommend a gluten free restaurant (I know there are tons- I've done my research online... just looking for opinions/personal recommendations at this point) that is in NYC? We will be visiting the Rockefeller Center area on Saturday and I'm trying to pick a gluten free restaurant to try out... anyone either live in the NYC or visit and has eaten at a gluten free restaurant (or know someone who has)?

Thanks :flowerforyou:

I haven't. . .but try a website called "chowhound". They'll have a regional board you can search, or just ask the same question on.

It's a great website for inside info from people who live in the area.:flowerforyou:
  • I live in Chicago- so no help with the NYC stuff....

but, I have celiac disease... so if you are gluten free, maybe we should start a group on here or something?

Good luck going out gluten free!

I'm in the process of either being diagnosed with Celiac's or a gluten-intolerance. Whatever it is, gluten has made me VERY sick. I tried to start a group a few months ago, but there was very little interest in it. But, I encourage you to give it a shot... I'd certainly join! :flowerforyou: Hopefully you'll have better luck than I did!

I also have a gluten sensitivity. I'd be interested in joining a group. Or possibly a thread under recipes where we can share ideas. I might not post to it everyday, but probably once a week or so.
  • Also, maybe MFP could add a field to the Find Members link for health or personal attributes, such as gluten sensitivity/Celiac, or high cholesterol, etc. I posted the suggestion under the suggestions topics. That may help find others!

Alright... I'll give it another go. I'm going to list it under the "food and nutrition" tab in the message boards (same tab that this thread is in).

Head on over and check it out!
