Too much protein?

Hi guys. I'm new to the board and have a question about my daily goals. Today, I'm under all of my goals except for protein. I don't even think I've eaten than much (egg for breakfast, turkey for lunch, chicken planned for dinner), but I nearly doubled my goal. Is that bad? Am I supposed to be to the goal numbers as possible?

You will probably get loads of different answers here, but as an ex atkins/low carber I would say you can never have too much protein! So long as you're under all your carbs/fat etc. Its excellent for muscle repair and so much more filling than any other food type :)

And that is precisely what I thought. I've done every diet from 6 Week Body Makeover to Weight Watchers, and I've never run across anything that says protein is a bad thing. I just wanted to make sure!

What is the right amount of protein? I know there are ALOT of different opinions on this! I'm new here (like today) and I've already changed from the auto goals for fat protein and carbs to 40% carbs 40% protein and 20% fat. I just sort of picked those randomly though, knowing I wanted more protein, less carbs, and medium fat intake. So to the OP, maybe it's just that the settings you have in your goals should be changed.

You can manually change the setting for protein as some feel it is low. :)
