Tough Mudder shoes

For those who have participated in Tough Mudder, what kind of shoes did you wear? I have absolutely no arch in my foot, I wear Saucony right now to run and workout in, but I think I want something not so rigid? Any suggestions appreciated! Thanks in advance.

GAH! I don't have anymore! I literally ran the soles off of them, so I junked em and these Saucony's are holding out REALLY well considering i've been using them for 4 months already. My race is Sept 22nd, maybe I can wear them out more.

I wouldn't worry too much about shoes.
They will be junk when you are done, and they have a place you can donate them.

You will LOVE IT. So much fun.

^^^ This absolutely. I didn't do the tough mudder, but the warrior dash which I know is the baby tough mudder but they collected the shoes afterwards to give to charity (after they'd cleaned them)... there was no way I'd ever take those bad boys home

I've been told to hold onto an old pair of running shoes when they aren't good enough to run in, and use those. Since you tossed yours, I would head to walmart or a thrift store and grab a pair of cheapies.
    Have fun!
