I was flying home from somewhere, and had a connection in Detroit MI. When I got on the plane, I was across the aisle from the US Congressman Vern Ehlers for the district where I live. It was cool to have my opinion heard...

    I've run into and chatted with;
Matt Hassleback - QB for the Seahawks - nice guy, horrible QB
    Robert Cray - blues legend
Jason Alexander - G. Costanza on Seinfeld. He was at the table next to us in Vegas at dinner one night, he was very cool and approachable.
    Jessica Alba - holy hell
Giada deLaurentis - On my top five list - even with that gigantic head.
Jim Caveizel - VERY great and down to earth and funny as hell. Wicked jump shot.

    I've met P.O.D. & Nickleback at concerts...

    I've eaten dinner with Paramore.

None of which I'm proud of at all. Well...P.O.D. was pretty cool...Oh I also made an *kitten* out of myself in front of the new(est) singer from Zebrahead.

I've also met quite a few baseball players, a local politician or two, I've also met several rappers/djs/r&b singers...Slug from Atmosphere, Mr. Dibbs, Little Brother, Darien Brockington.

I trained a dog for one of Bob Marley's sons...though I can't say which one.

Served drinks to the late Payne Stewart and many of the 1997 Marlins...not at the same time.

I haven't had anything significant, but have to share this one...my childhood best friend and I grew up watching Knight Rider. 20 years later, he is living it up in LA/Hollywood area, one early morning I get a phone call and he is whispering, "Dude, you'll never guess where I've been! I've been where Knight Rider's been". So I ask if he met him and why the hell he is whispering. He says, "No I haven't met him, but I've been where he's been. I've been inside his wife. And I am at his house." "That's even better than meeting him!"

My hubby met Jerry Seinfeld at a truck stop in New Mexico. Hubby was coming out and heading back to his truck as Jerry & entourage were getting off tour bus. Jerry apparently stuck his hand out and said "how'd you like the show?" to which my hubby replied while shaking Jerry's hand "hated the show, but I like your stand up". apparently the dumbfounded look was priceless. part of me wonders if this encounter ever made it to the stage.

That's funny...I probably would have said the same thing. That show was awful.

    Hmmm, met a few celebs!

Once yelled at Bono (U2) to stop staring at people in the window of a restaurant/bar where I worked the door in Birmingham.

Can't recall all the celebs I met as a kid at the Bob Hope/Charlie Boswell celeb golf classic. Bob Hope, Don Merideth, many football players from the day in the 70s.

Had drinks with Larry Linville (Frank Burns from MASH)

I was an extra in a movie, and got to drink/eat with Meatloaf, Zachery Ty Bryan, Michael Papajohn, and other actors. Papajohn is a bud of mine, and let me pal around with the other actors, not just the extras. He played Guard Papajohn in the remake of "The Longest Yard" among other movies he's been in.

I had a brush with infamy!

I worked in a bank in British Columbia as a teller in 2000. This young guy came into the bank to exchange his American dollars for Canadian dollars. To complete the transaction, I had to ask his name and see ID. He showed it to me and smiled and flirted with me, and he was really charming. The only reason I remember him at all is because his name was so unusual, and I remember saying, "that's not your name...no way! LOL". His name was Jesse James Hollywood, he had just entered Canada that day because he was on the run because he had murdered someone in California. Ahk! It wasn't until several years later that I saw a show about strange murders and he was on it that I learned that I had waited on a murderer on the run. LOL

Oh, and I also played a round of golf with some famous baller...couldn't tell you his name now. But when we finished he thanked me for not bringing up basketball. Truth is, I had no idea he was a big deal and don't know the first thing about basketball. LOL

Prince Charles came to my house, he spoke to my parents and stroked my dog. I was in a lift with Mika Häkkinen. I met Alan Rickman at a party and talked with him for a bit and afterwards went to the cinema with him and Jude Law...

I sat in Wayne Newton's lap once. Danced with a couple of girls that were in Michael Jackson's "Thriller" video. I've met and chatted UFC fighters Tito Ortiz, Joe Riggs and Edwin Dewees (not at a fan forum).

I have met many celebrities but the only ones I would consider "great" are Kurt Vonnegut and Ridley Scott.

I saw the bass player for the band "My Darkest Days" walking through the crowd after their set and I told him what a wicked job they did and how much I was enjoying the festival. He said I made his day and gave me a kiss :smooched:

When he was running for Mayor of Carmel, Clint Eastwood came & gave a speech at my grandparent's house. He walked into their house & just stood by the door until we noticed he was there. My grandfather had made a name tag for Mr. Eastwood that said Hello My Name Is Make My Day & Mr. Eastwood wore it.
My husband (a bailiff) saw him jogging once & said "Good morning, Mr. Eastwood." Mr. Eastwood stopped, turned around & jogged back over to my husband, then said "Call me Clint." & jogged off. My husband & I agree that his tough guy persona is all an act.

I am distantly related to 3 members of the Beach Boys. Their song Wendy was written for my aunt.

I've met both Bill and Hillary Clinton, not at the same time. My best friend, did however, wear this very risque blue dress when we met Bill Clinton and offered to show him to a storage closet. My roommate at the time was wearing the tightest pants I've ever seen and told him she wasn't wearing underwear. I simply told him I thought he was a horrible president. He managed to keep a fairly straight face through it all, and he shook our hands. And when we met Hillary my roommate asked her if she'd leave Bill and marry her instead. Hillary did not respond.

I've met George Bush, more than once.

Um...I've met a few christian bands, we used to feed Anberlin at concerts. I've met all of Relient K and Mute Math...who I don't think anyone knows. My catering company caters for shows at the York fair so I've met a ton of country musicians...

I once served Craig Sheffer when I was waitressing, of Some Kind of Wonderful fame. He was also Keith on One Tree Hill...which is how most people know him.

    I think that's it.

I took a class from Faith Prince. She's a Tony Award winning actress and I believe she's on the show Drop Dead Diva right now.

    I got a hug from rapper Ne-Yo.

I'm not really a fan of his in particular, or rap music in general really, but the story behind that is when I was in high school, my mom worked for the school. Her job was organizing basically all of the student activities, and this included the yearly senior trip to Walt Disney World for Grad Nite. In 2008, Disney held a Grad Nite "preview" because they were moving the location of their Grad Nite festivities from the Magic Kingdom to Hollywood Studios, so in an attempt to generate hype, they invited a ton of high school SGAs and their class sponsors/whoever else is in charge of this sort of thing at all of the high schools in the state. I got to go because I'm a special snowflake. Now, the same day one of the clubs I was in was going to Epcot, so I stupidly decided to go with them and then go to the preview that night. A combination of exhaustion and dehydration led to me having a mild panic attack, and then acting like a toddler kept up past her naptime when we were let into Cinderella's Castle to take pictures with the musical acts (as one more "OMG SUPER COOL" experience that we could tell our friends about to get them pumped for Grad Nite). I refused to go get a picture with Ne-Yo, because I just wanted to go the f*** to sleep, so he came over to where I was sitting and gave me a hug.

    Geraldo Rivera was my boss.
  • Years ago I was waiting for my luggage to come out at the airport and I noticed that Ross Perot was standing near me waiting for his luggage too. He's a surprisingly small guy. Standing right behind him, looking menacing, were two of the biggest guys I have ever seen. Bodyguards I guess. When his luggage came I was surprised that Ross stepped up and grabbed it himself, then took off carrying it with the two bodyguards having a tough time keeping up behind him!

I know all 3 of those actually...

Though I'm not sure Mute Math is a christian band.
