A little nervous

I am running my first 5k this Sunday…I am very anxious but excited too.
I’ve seen a lot of posts lately of 5k runners and marathon runners having great success in their first runs.
Ran my best time of 28:39 last night at the gym…I hope to better it this Sunday!
Wish me luck

Good for you! I wish you all the luck! I ran my first 5k in -10 degree weather, about three years ago it was cold, but worth it. Anything under 30 mins is a great time. Have fun!0

assuming the weather's ok, there's not too many people, and it's not too hilly, most people do better in real road races than their training times (something about competitive juices). Good luck!0

28:39 is a good time for the gym, and you'll find that you usually run faster in the race. All the excitement....feeding off other people's energy. Have fun...even though.....brrrrr...that's cold!0
