Myth about negative calories

Reading different magazines, I occasionally read articles about food with negative calories. Foods you need more calories to digest than the calories it contains.

So, unfortunately, there is no food with negative calories, at least not In the way I thought (and I believe many people think).

lol I never heard of that before. I don't even think negative numbers do exist. How can something will have a negative number in it? I don't remember counting from -10 to 10 or saying I have -2 pcs. of this and that.0

Story was that some food have e.g. 100 cals, but that our body spend e.g. 110 cals to digest it. So eating this food you actually spend cals.
But this is obviously misinterpretation of some journalists ..
When I better think, If this were true we could eat boiled eggs and apples (examples of food often mentioned as "negative cals food") and lose weight without exercise ...0
