You can still lose weight eating all crap food if you like. All you need is to be in a calorie deficit. It will be an extremely unhealthy diet but you can lose weight doing so. I find it hard to believe that out of the hundreds upon hundreds of kind of fruits and veg in the world, a person can hate every single one. It sounds like extreme pickiness more than actually hating every single taste and texture of every single fruit and veg, whether fresh, canned, frozen, raw, cooked, etc.
In order to get some semblance of nutrition, I would look into cookbooks designed to sneak vegetables into kids, like the Sneaky Chef or Jessica Seinfield's book.0 -

Just keep up the hard work, and keep trying veggies anyway... it's been over 2 years since I began this trip and in the beginning I wasn't a huge fan of many veggies, but the healthier you get, the more your body craves what is actually beneficial...
Calorie deficit is priority here, but if the quality of your success matters, so does the quality of your diet.0 -
if anyone doesn't like vegetables, i'd tell them to grow up and eat it.
if my children do, you can manage to eat some broccoli!0 -
Haters gonna hate.
Okay, sorry about that. I think part of the secret to enjoying fruits and vegetables is to get the good stuff. A lot of what is in the supermarket is plucked-before-ripe grossness. If you can, try getting your fruits and vegetables from farmers markets. Or try different supermarkets in your area to see which has the best quality.0 -
Veg is good for me, particularly leafy veg.
Fruit I treat like a dessert.0 -
There are some fruits and veggies that I don't like. Like a salad, I just don't really enjoy eating them. They are quite boring.
I enjoy other fruits and veg though like:
Broccoli
Cauliflower
Carrots
Asparagus
Zucchini
Cucumber
Celery
Bananas
Grapes
Cherries
Kiwi
Apple
Orange
Pineapple
Lettuce
Bell Peppers
Tomatoes
Mushrooms
Onions
Spring Onions
Bean Sprouts
Cabbage
There are a number of stuff on there that are part of a salad, but I just can't eat a salad. I can have these foods on there own or with something, but putting everything together just makes me stop enjoying it. There are also a number of foods on that list that I never tried or even had the nerve to try before joining MFP such as Asparagus, Zucchini, Cucumber, Celery, Pineapple, Tomatoes and Mushrooms.
You really should try these foods a few times. Fruit is sweet and contains vitamins, minerals and fiber which are important.
You get used to the taste and texture of foods, regardless of what it is. Hell I'm still trying to get used to King Prawns, I've only had them twice in my life and they are quite enjoyable and an amazing protein source for the amount.0 -
sooo just me then lol trust me i have tried countless fruits and veg in countless different ways!! i just do not like them i hate the taste and the texture makes me want to barf!
oh well thanks anyway0 -
I'm not a fan of fruit especially citrus fruits, but as a previous poster said I like to treat it as dessert sometimes baked pears with some cinnamon are YUMMY can do the same with apples I drizzle a little light maple syrup over them sprinkle some cinnamon, bake! even better with a little greek frozen yogurt.
There are fruit veggie supplements too if your really not going to eat any of either?
I used to hate mushrooms, and tomatoes are growing on me try cooking them different ways, stuff zuccinni or bell peppers.
I also like my fruit dried, but its not as good for you. I could eat veggies all day though, try adding a little spinach/kale to your spaggetti sauce or soups, you wont even know its there and you'll get its nutrients.
My best friend wont eat fruit or veggies AT ALL, She drinks Bloody Marys to get her veggies lol :drinker:0 -
You should take a vegetable and try cooking it different ways: grilled, raosted, steamed...I don't care for raw cauliflower or steamed asparagus, but they're my favorite veggies when grilled or roasted.0

I'm a reformed veggie hater. The lesson I learned was if you don't like them... you're just not cooking them right.0

Fruit isn't a problem, but my husband always hated veggies ...... since I work AND do all the foodshopping & cooking AND cleaning up afterwards, I am way too busy to be making separate meals for the two of us ...... he eats what I put in front of him ....... over time I've added lots of veggies into our soups & stews & chili ...... and he's gotten used to seeing veggies all over the kitchen counters & falling out of the refrigerator LOL ......he's even put in a gorgeous little garden for me ..... we eat veggies with breakfast now, or piled onto sandwiches, or chopped-veggie salads before the rest of our dinner ......
And we've both lost a LOT of weight !
I love farmers' markets & trying new items ...... people are very happy to share recipes ...... we roast veggies in the winter & grill them in the summer ...... yes, I admit, not EVERY veggie has been a total success, but we're having fun experimenting :drinker:0 -
What? How could you hate that? It's like the sweetest, most perfect, wonderful thing in the world ever!!!
Oh wait VEG! Nevermind. Yeah those are awful.0 -

I can't eat fruit and veg - it makes me ill, I know a bit of it is psychosymatic (think thats the right word), but I had a accident as a kid which messed up my taste buds. Over the years I have grown to be able to have a littttllle bit of onion mixed in with mince, orange juice (only smooth), and Heinz tomato soup (seems to be the only soup I can tolerate that has a fruit portion), but I adore potato, and thats it, i've tried butternut squash soup, which I adored, but gave me horrible stomach cramps, I am trying to experiment more as my partner is adamant that my taste buds will have changed over my teens and early twenties, so might get there soon, although doctors seem to think hypnotherepy will be good for me, so we'll see.0
