Kind of embarrasing topic but lately I've been feeling sluggish and I'm not sure why. I try to eat enough veggies and fiber but my body isnt working with it. I would like to restart my digestion system and get things moving along...I've looked into some cleanses but wondering if anyone has tried or can recommend something that might clean out my system in a GENTLE way? ;)

There's an online company you can order from Nature's Sunshine (think they also sell some of their stuff at GNC) There multi vitamin in the only one I will take...they have great vitamins and supplements. My whole family has been using their stuff for at least 15 years now. Anywho, they have what is called a "Para cleanse." Cleanses out parasites and basically works as a digestive cleanse...you take two packs of different herbs twice a day and avoid coffee, sugar, red meat & chocolate....works great...also having had the same "problem" in the past...drinking lots of water (which I hate) has helped TREMENDOUSLY!
  • A couple months back I did Beachbody's Ultimate Reset (They make P90X, Insanity, Chalean, etc.) They refuse to call it a Cleanse as it's a 3 week program that restores your body to "factory settings". It is pretty expensive, both the program as well as the food, but it was a wonderful program that opened my eyes quite a bit. Very rewarding experience and a good back to the basics program.

    Some things to note:
    - Any exercise beyond a small daily walk is highly discouraged (Could time it for the end of your current workout program)
    - You drink your body weight in water (at least per day)
    - The calorie intake is about 1200 - 1300 calories per day
    - It's very structured with supplements timed throughout the day before meals
    - It is not harsh at all and is very gentile on your system so your not on the throne all day
    - Find a block of time that will allow you the full 21 days to do the program. Try to avoid going on vacation in the middle, planned weekends away, etc. It's better to just wait as I said it's pretty expensive so get the most out of it.

Generally speaking it takes your through a progression of meals that removes protein and dairy early on in the process, through a vegetarian phase then ultimately vegan. I'm a meat and potatoes guy so this was quite a shock to my system but I made it through losing 16 lbs in the 3 weeks which I've been able to keep off by continuing with some of the principles of the program.

They do have a website that you can check out and also have a group on Facebook that you can explore as well. Just search Beachbody Ultimate Reset.

I have tried one .. it was pill form.
Had to take one in the morning, one at night.
Got it at a Good Health store.
    Wouldn't suggest it.
    Totally messed me up. lol.
    Messed up my "regularity".
Which caused hemmorhoids lol. Which Iv'e never had before that.

Have you heard of fasting cleanse ?
You can do it one day a week, which basically just gives your digestive system a break.
Gives it time to repair and clean.

Some people do it 3 days.
    Which is a total cleanse.
    But only once a month.
& all you drink is water, & pure raw fruit juices,
