Color Me Rad 5k race is happening in Fresno on September 29th at Woodward Park. I just registered and I'm excited! The Charity Partner for this race is the Ronald McDonald House, so it's a ton of fun and for a good cause!

Registration costs go up a couple of more times before the race - right now it's $35, but after July 6th (tomorrow) it goes up to $40, and then up again in August - so sign up now! :bigsmile: I see on their website that many of the past races in other cities have sold out, so don't wait too long if you want to run this one.

I know I have at least one MFP friend who will be there, plus other local friends from work, etc - the more the merrier! Post here if you're going and maybe we can have an MFP meet-up that day!

    Wow - Color Me Rad Fresno has SOLD OUT! They have a waiting list you can put your name on in case any spots open up, so if you haven't registered but you wanted to do this, get on that list!

    Gonna be a full race - FUN!

    Picked up my packet this morning! Can't believe we are supposed to be near 100º on Saturday - boooo! :noway:

    Hi Amy,
    I'm in Sacto. They did one here about one month ago. I was out and about and happened to stumble onto the course. The streets, not to mention the participants, were an absolute mess.
    I gotta ask one question: Doesn't all that chalk get in your nose and lungs?
    You are running and breathing hard, after all.
    Hope you have fun.
    P.S. The streets here were completely cleaned up in an hour after the end of the race. It was quite amazing.

    It's actually corn starch, and I have read advice from other color runners who say hold your breath when the color flies! Sunglasses help a bit with the eyes, but yeah - I will be careful to not inhale a bunch of colorful corn starch. :bigsmile: I usually run through farmland, and am used to dodging huge dust clouds from the tractors when they plow. :tongue:
