New here. Breast cancer survivor!

Hi everyone. I am very excited to start this new adventure. I do have a few questions if anyone can help. I am a breast cancer survivor and am currently going through reconstruction. With that said I have limitations as far as excersise. No liting no pushing no pulling. What will benefit me the most as far as excersise.

Hey that's great news you have beat the cancer, my mum is also a breast cancer survivor! As far as exercise I don't know enough to help, but if you want support I'm here, and this'll bump up the thread anyway ^_^
  • Hi, fantastic news you are a breast cancer survivor, I am too. I had a mastectomy and immediate reconstruction on 1st Sept last year and 6 weeks ago had a reduction and lift on the other breast (10 weeks recovery). Although I wasn't able to excercise during this period I didn't put on any more weight (I was overweight to start!!). I am now on a mission to eat properly (all the cancer killing foods) and lose 3 stone. Although I can't jump about too much I can walk and do this every morning. The reconstruction is not painful in it's self , it's just that you won't be able to excercise and with that comes a decrease in needing to eat. Try to eat healthily and concentrate on staying happy and focused that is your best defence against this rotten disease. If you want to chat I'll always be here for you. x
