Hello Everyone,
I just started calories counting about a week ago. I have been excerising for about 3 weeks now. I have not started to see a difference yet and since i have been calorie counting, i gain about 2 pounds. Everytime I excerise it tells me I need to eat more to help my metabolism. But when i do that it, it seem like im gaining.. Can someone please help me?

If you are exercising then you are likely gaining weight due to gaining muscle. (Muscle weighs more than fat). I've been using MFP for a cpl weeks and really like it. I started going to the gym 2 months ago 5-6 days/week. I do cardio everyday and strength training every other day. For three weeks I stayed at the same weight so I picked up my cardio from 35 mins to 70 mins/day and started losing again. During the weeks when I wasn't losing weight I was still losing inches. I highly recommend taking your measurements.0

Hi,
I work out 5 days a week, an hour at a time. I'm also eating healthy (about 1300 calories a day) with one "cheat" day (nothing too crazy) a week. In order to be successful, and not drive myself crazy, I decided that I would focus more on the inches being lost, and not the lbs. I have read that when you work out, people may lose inches quicker than lbs, and that is the case with me. So, I am going to weigh myself every 3-4 weeks, and measure myself 3 every 3-4 weeks.
You may want to try something like this. Or just not rely solely on pounds lost.
Good luck,
