Hi
I seem to lose weight until I get to a certain weight and im stuck and wont go any lower. I then get frustrated, go off plan and gain. Its a vicious circle.
Is there anything anyone can recommend? Ive tried low cal diets but i cant shift anymore when i get to that lower weight. So frustrating! I do have pcos too but its not stopped me from losing the weight so far.. Any help/advice would be appreciated.

What is your BMR? What is your TDEE? Heigh? Weight? Age?

Some details will really help in setting you up on a long term plan.

I think bmr is 1603. Ive been having around 1200-1400 cals a day but have now increased to 1700. I exercise three/four times a week too. Im 29' 5ft 7 and am 202lb.

Plateau's are natural and more prevalent for women it seems. They can last up to even a month. Try switching up your exercise routines or your c/f/p goals for a few weeks. Also, start taking measurements, you could be losing fat without losing weight. Last, are you remembering to continue to reduce calories as your weight drops?

you are mentally stopping yourself. I have had other things that I have done that to. Used to be I couldn't go more than 3 days without a drink. I would tell myself thats day 2, oh boy,I hope I can make it day 3...didn't happen. Do not set yourself up with failure at a certain weight, when you are close...don't weigh for a month....once you break that mental block, it will happen for you...

Okay, so I calculated your BMR to be about 1700. These are the calories you need to run your organs. Don't eat less than this a day generally (a few days is okay here and there.)

Your TDEE doing nothing all day is 2000 roughly.

So, I suggest you eat 1850 a day. That is a deficit of 150 a day. Increase this deficit by adding 450 calories worth of exercise.

This will make you lose 1 pound of fat a week.

Eating below your BMR is not recommended by most health professionals.

Remember my advice. One issue is that when we all want to lose weight, what we first jump to is minimizing calories completely and doing tons of cardio... this mentality eventually burns us out and leads to us quitting.

Don't reduce calories below BMR and you will have the energy to go through with your exercise and weight loss goals.
