Do you like them? Were you as skeptical as I am now (I don't own a pair)? Pros/cons? Fad or here to stay??
Thanks

i just got a pair like five minutes ago you really have to try them on also , one thing i really dont like is theres not much padding in them they might hurt your feet if you run alot, alot of people cant get used to the feel0

i forgot to add they got socks but to get the rigght feel you gotta wear them barefoot andd they do start to stiiiiiiink my sister runs like crazy and she said people are also having problems with there toes wearing the top of the toes out on the shoes0

I have a friend who wears them all the time for long 20-30 mile road runs. She loves them for that, but she does the crazy 50 and 100 mile runs, too, and says for those she likes a little more padding.
That's all hearsay, though, because I don't have the kind of cashola ya gotta shell out for those things. :laugh:0

I read an article about them a while back from an athlete saying in 10 years everyone will be wearing them and it changes the way you run and you have to basically learn to run in them properly0

Yep, that's what I'm thinking. I'm not going to "experiment" because of their price point. That's all hearsay, though, because I don't have the kind of cashola ya gotta shell out for those things. :laugh:0

I've read the same thing. You have to "learn" how to run in those. Can't wait to read more replies! My step son has a pair of them and that is all he wears now. He loves them. Oh and yeah..be sure to buy the toe socks cause if you don't they will stink to high heaven.0

My ex (Bikila) and a co-worker (Classic) wear them exclusively for running (Since about 2009 or so)
I had a pair of KSO, but now run in Nike Free.
They're great if you're perfectly neutral, otherwise you'll have issues. It's initially more difficult and expect to be S O R E for a day or too until fully acclimated.0

            Socks.
Initially, according to Vibram, they're to be worn without socks (and also initially they didn't really hold up well to running any way). But for socks: be on the look out for Injinji. They cost ($12 to $18 pair), but they're the best-- especially the wool ones.0

Don't know how comparable they are, but Fila makes a toe shoe....Skeletoez or something. Same basic idea and cheaper.
 I'm happy with my $70 Nike Flex 0 0

I switched to Vibrams over 3 years ago. I had persistent shin splint and knee problems running in Brooks. The transition took two months learning the Chi Running Method (forefoot strike). I love them and switch between Bikila LS, TrekSports and New Balance Trail Minimus Zero.0
